U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that it will begin Premium Processing for applicable cap-subject H-1B petitions on May 12.
Premium Processing (PP) ensures that USCIS will make a decision on a case with 15 days of the filing, for an additional filing fee. Normally the 15-day period starts from the day that USCIS receives the case. However, USCIS had earlier announced that it would suspend PP until it had finished with the lottery for H-1B cases. This latest announcement means that H-1B cap cases filed with Premium Processing should receive a decision from USCIS by May 27.
