8/10/2016

The US Department of State has released the September 2016 Visa Bulletin, showing the new “Application Final Action Dates” and “Dates for Filing Applications” (for information about the difference between these distinctions, see here).

"Final Action Dates" changes

In family-based categories, there is very slight movement forward from the August dates in some categories, but just by a few days or weeks in most categories. Most categories did not move forward at all, e.g. all of F2A (spouses and children of permanent residents).

In employment-based categories:

EB-1:  no change from August 2016.
EB-2: No change other than India moving forward by about 3 months.
EB-3: Slight advance in most categories. Philippines advances by 14 months.
EB-4 and EB-5: no change from August 2016.

For more information, please call Elaine Martin at 214-329-4148 or write to us.
